    Ric Flair def. M.V.P. (US ch) (subm.)
    Stipulation: If Flair loses, he will be forced to retire. M.V.P. goes for the Playmaker, but Flair reverses into a figure-four leglock, forcing M.V.P. to tap out.
  2. John "Bradshaw" Layfield def. Chris Jericho (DQ)
    JBL drives Jericho into the steel ring post, busting him open. Jericho hits a lionsault and pushes JBL out of the ring. JBL is about to set up the announce table for shenanigans, when Jericho hits him with a steel chair, getting himself disqualified.
  3. World heavyweight championship:
    Edge (ch) [w/Vickie Guerrero & Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins] def. Rey Mysterio
    Edge throws Mysterio out of the ring, and when Hawkins and Ryder runs for him, the referee throws them out. Mysterio hits the 619 and follows up with a frog splash, but Guerrero blocks the referee's count. Mysterio goes for another 619, but Guerrero blocks it. Edge spears Mysterio for the pinfall.
  4. WWE championship:
    Randy Orton (ch) def. Jeff Hardy (IC ch)
    Hardy hits a moonsault from the turnbuckle onto Orton who is outside the ring. Both make it back in just in time, and Hardy sets up for the Twist of fate, when Orton reverses into an RKO, for getting the pinfall.

    Winner: John Cena (30).
    Hornswoggle enters as number nine, but hides under the ring. He emerges later to help eliminate The Miz, and goes back into hiding. He re-enters the match after Guerrero, trying to eliminate Henry, and is attacked by Henry and Daddy V. Finlay runs in with a shillelagh, saving Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle and Finley leave the ring together. John Cena lasts eliminates Triple H, to win a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania XXIV.

No Way Out 2008

  1. ECW championship:
    Chavo Guerrero (ch) def. CM Punk
    Punk goes for a hurricanrana from the top rope, but Guerrero holds on to the ropes an dhits a frog splash for the pinfall.
  2. SmackDown/ECW Elimination Chamber Match:
    Undertaker def. Batista, Finlay, Montel Vontavious Porter, The Great Khali [w/Ranjin Singh], Big Daddy V [w/Matt Striker]
    Batista and Undertaker start out. Big Daddy V enters as number three. Undertaker DDTs Daddy V on the steel floor surrounding the ring, allowing Batista to eliminate Daddy V by pinfall. Khali enters fourth. After taking our Ranjin Singh, Undertaker locks Khali in the Hell's Gates, forcing Khali to submit. Finlay enters fifth and MVP sixth. MVP uses his chain to attack Undertaker from the top of the pod, but Undertaker hits a reverse chokeslam, allowing Finlay to pin MVP. Hornswoggle hands Finlay shillelagh. Finaly attacks Batista with it, but only gets a two-count. Undertaker chokeslams Finlay to the steel, getting the pinfall. Undertaker eventually hits a tombstone on Batista, getting the pinfall to win the match and earn a shot at the world heavyweight championship at WrestleMania XXIV.
  3. Career threatening match:
    Ric Flair def. Mr. Kennedy (subm.)
    Stipulation: If Flair loses, he will be forced to retire. Kennedy locks Flair in the Flair's own figure-four leglock, trying to get him to submit. Flair reverses Kennedy's inside cradle and locks a figure-four of his own to get the submission victory.
  4. World heavyweight championship:
    Edge (ch) def. Rey Mysterio
    Mysterio hits the 619 on Edge. Mysterio goes for a moonsault from the ropes but is met with a spear by Edge, who gets the pinfall.
  5. WWE championship:
    John Cena def. Randy Orton (ch) (DQ)
    Cena locks Orton in the FU, but Orton makes it to the rope, forcing a break. Orton goes to the outside and demands to be counted out. He hits an RKO on Cena, and almost gets Cena counted out instead. Instead of going for Cena, Orton slaps the referee, getting himself disqualified, retaining the championship.
  6. Raw Elimination Chamber Match:
    Triple H def. Jeff Hardy, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Umaga, John "Bradshaw" Layfield
    Jericho and Michaels start out, with Umaga, Jericho, JBL and Triple H entering as numbers three, four and five. Jericho pins JBL after the codebreaker. JBL returns to the ring, attacking everyone with a steel chair. Jeff Hardy enters as the last man. Everyone attacks Umaga with their signature moves, allowing Jericho to get the pinfall to eliminate him and Hardy then immediately eliminates Jericho. Triple H hits a pedigree on Michaels, eliminating him, leaving him and Hardy as the final two. Triple H hits Hardy with a bodyslam and a pedigree onto a steel chair to get the pinfall. Triple H earns a shot at the WWE championship at WrestleMania XXIV.

WrestleMania XXIV

  1. Belfast Brawl:
    John "Bradshaw" Layfield def. Finlay
    This was a no diqualification, no count-out match. Hornswoggle enters the ring, attacking JBL with a kendo stick, but chased way again. JBL hits the Clothesline from Hell for the pinfall.
  2. Money in the Bank, Ladder Match:
    CM Punk def. Chris Jericho, Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison (WWE tag ch), M.V.P (US ch).
    Morrison climbs a ladder, and Jericho comes after, locking the lion tamer on Morrison through the ladder. M.V.P. climbs a ladder, only to be taken out by a returning Matt Hardy, who hits the Twist of Fate from the ladder. CM Punk and Jericho battle from the top of a ladder, when Punk manages to trip Jericho, and himself unhooking the briefcase to win a contract that at any time in the following year could be cashed in for a title match of his choice.
  3. Battle for brand supremacy:
    Batista (SmackDown) def. Umaga (Raw)
    Batista hits a spinebuster and a Batista Bomb to get the pinfall victory.
  4. ECW championship:
    Kane def. Chavo Guerrero (ch)
    Kane had won a dark 24-man Battle Royal before the event to earn the championship match. Kane surprises Guerrero, appearing from nowhere behind his back. Kane immediately hits a chokeslam and pins Guerrero to win the championship.
  5. Career Threatening Match:
    Shawn Michaels def. Ric Flair
    Stipulation: If Flair loses, he will be forced to retire. Michaels early on goes for a moonsault towards Flair who is outside of the ring, but instead hits the announce table. Flair goes to work on Michaels' left leg, but is unable to stop him from hitting the Sweet Chin Music. After hitting the Sweet Chin Music a fourth time, Michaels gets the pinfall, ending Flair's career.
  6. Playboy Bunnymania Lumberjack match: Beth Phoenix (Women's ch) & Melina [w/Santino Marella] def. Maria & Ashley
    Maria covers Phoenix, but Marella drags her off, ending the count at two. Lawler comes ringside, taking out Marella, but Phoenix uses the distraction to land a fisherman's suplex on Maria, getting the pinfall.
  7. WWE championship, Triple threat match:
    Randy Orton (ch) def. Triple H, John Cena
    Triple H hits a pedigree on Cena, but only gets a two-count before Orton runs in, hitting Triple H with a punt kick. Orton himself covers Cena, getting the pinfall victory to reain the championship.
  8. No disqualification match:
    Floyd Mayweather, Jr. def. The Big Show (KO)
    The match could only be won on pinfall, submission or knockout. Mayweather was the WBC Welterweight boxing champion. Show hits lands a couple of punches and an elbow drop, when Mayweather's entourage removes Mayweather from the ring. Show drags him back to the ring, where Mayweather attacks him with a steel chair and then knocks him out using a pair of brass knuckles.
  9. World heavyweight championship:
    Undertaker def. Edge (ch) (subm)
    Edge and Undertaker trade pinfall attempts. Undertaker inadvertently knocks out the referee, and goes for a chokeslam on Edge, who hits a low blow on Undertaker. Edge brings a television camera into the ring, knocking out Undertaker. Undertaker comes back, hitting a tombstone, but the a referee doesn't appear in time and only get a two-count. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder come ringside, but are chokeslammed by Undertaker. Edge spears Undertaker twice, but Undertaker locks Edge in the Hell's gate, getting the submission victory and keeps is undefeated streak at WrestleMania, with 16 straight wins.

King of the Ring 2008

Quarter finals:

  1. Chris Jericho (IC ch) def. M.V.P. (US ch) (subm.)
    Jericho misses the lionsault, but lokcs MVP in the Walls of Jericho, forcing MVP to tap out.
  2. CM Punk def. Matt Hardy
    Punk tries to hit the Go to Sleep, but Hardy counters. Punk manages to roll up Hardy for the pinfall.
  3. Finlay [w/Hornswoggle] def. The Great Khali (DQ)
    Khali wraps Finlay's legs around the ring post and keeps attacking him until being disqualified.
  4. William Regal def. Hornswoggle (subm.)
    Regal quickly locks Hornswoggle in the Regal stretch, getting the submission victory.

Semi-finals:

  1. CM Punk def. Chris Jericho
    Punk hits the Go to Sleep on Jericho, getting the pinfall.
  2. William Regal def. Finlay (subm.)
    The referee stops the match as Regal locks Finlay in the Regal stretch and Finlay is unable to continue.

    With Hardy positioned in the ring corner, M.V.P. goes for a big boot. Hardy ducks away, hitting the Twist of Fate, getting the pinfall to win the championship.
  2. ECW championship:
    Kane (ch) def. Chavo Guerrero [w/Bam Neely]
    Guerrero goes for a Frog Splash, Kane goes for a chokeslam, but is unable to hit it. Guerrero hits the Frog Splash, but Kane reverses into a chokeslam and gets the pinfall victory.
  3. The Big Show def. The Great Khali
    Show keeps attacking Khali with back elbows, and then hits him with a bodyslam. Khali kicks out at two, but Show hits a chokeslam for the pinfall.
  4. Special guest referee: Chris Jericho
    Shawn Michaels def. Batista
    Michaels goes for the Sweet Chin Music, but Batista reverses into a spinebuster. Batista goes for a Batista bomb, but Michaels kicks out and seemingly injures his left knee. Jericho tries to keep Batista from interfering, and Michaels, apparently feigning the injury, hits the Sweet Chin Music to get a pinfall.
  5. 12-diva tag-team match:
    Beth Phoenix & Melina & Layla & Jillian Hall & Victoria & Natalya def. Mickie James (Women's ch) & Maria & Ashley & Michelle McCool & Cherry & Kelly Kelly
    Phoenix hits the fisherman's suplex on Ashely to get the pinfall victory for her team.
  6. World heavyweight championship:
    Undertaker (ch) def. Edge (subm.)
    Edge removes the top turnbuckle and rams Undertaker into it. While the referee is distracted trying to put it back, Curt Hawkins runs in and attacks Undertaker with the championship belt. Zack Ryder runs in, but Undertaker flings Edge into Ryder to take him out. Edge counters a tombstone attempt into a sunset flip, but Undertaker reverses into the Hell's Gate, getting the submission victory.
  7. WWE championship, Fatal four-way elimination match:
    Triple H def. Randy Orton (ch), John Cena, John "Bradshaw" Layfield
    Cena hits the FU on JBL. Triple H goes for the pedigree on Cena, but is thrown to the outside. Cena locks JBL in the STFU, who taps out. Orton quickly punts Cena in the head, getting a pinfall to eliminate Cena. Triple H runs Orton into the announce table, and back in the ring he hits the pedigree on Orton, pinning him for the title.

Judgment Day 2008

Championship chase, first round:

SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero stripped Undertaker of the World heavyweight championship due to his use of the Hell's Gate submission move. A championship chase was set up, airing on SmackDown 2008-05-09:

  1. Matt Hardy (US ch) def. CM Punk
    Punk goes for the GTS, but Hardy kicks out. Hardy rolls up Punk, getting the pinfall.
  2. M.V.P. vs. Finlay [w/Hornswoggle] (draw)
    Finlay hits a back suplex on M.V.P., but both men have their shoulders down, so the referee counts a double pin.
  3. Batista def. John Morrison [w/The Miz] (WWE tag ch)
    Batista gets the pinfall after the Batista bomb.
  4. Big Show def. Tommy Dreamer
    Big Show hits a chokeslam for the pinfall.
  5. Kane (ECW ch) def. Chavo Guerrero [w/Bam Neely]
    Guerrero goes for a sunset flip, but Kane just sits down for the pinfall.

Championship chase, over the top rope challenge:

    Order of elimination:

    The match started out as a six-man battle royal. As Batista eliminated Big Show and his music played, Vickie Guerrero inserted Edge into the match, who runs in and spears Batista to win the match.

    JBL has Cena down, stomping Cena's hands. JBL goes for the Clothesline from Hell, but Cena counters, hitting the FU for the pinfall.

    Michaels sets up Jericho for the Sweet Chin Music, but Jericho feigns an injury and instead hits the Codebreaker on Michaels. Jericho tries for the lionsault, but is blocked by Michaels. Jericho instead tries for the Walls of Jericho, but Michaels turns it around, getting the pinfall on Jericho.
  4. Women's championship, Triple threat match:
    Mickie James (ch) def. Melina, Beth Phoenix
    Phoenix lifts both competitors in a double backbreaker. Pheonix goes for a powerbomb on James, but Melina hits a neckbreaker on Phoenix, taking her out. James hits a jumping DDT on Melina, getting the pinfall to retain.
  5. World heavyweight championship:
    Undertaker def. Edge (countout)
    This match for the vacant World heavyweight championship. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins come ringside, distracting the referee. Edge uses the distraction to expose the top turnbuckle. Undertaker kicks Edge to the outside, and then sends him over the barricade. Only Undertaker makes it back into the ring before the referee counts to ten, winning the match by countout. As the referee is about to hand Undertaker the championship belt, Vickie Guerrero comes out declaring that the title is still vacant since a championship cannot change hands via countout.
  6. Jeff Hardy def. M.V.P.
    M.V.P. comes out and issues an open challenge. Matt Hardy, who defeated M.V.P. for the US championship on Backlash comes out, introducing his brother Jeff Hardy as M.V.P.'s opponent. Hardy goes hits the Whisper in the Wind from the top rope for the pinfall.
  7. WWE championship, Steel cage match:
    Triple H (ch) def. Randy Orton
    Triple H tries to climb over the cage wall, but Orton catches him, dropping Triple H to the ring floor. Orton tries to escape instead, making it over the top of the cage, but Triple H climbs after, dragging him back into the ring. Triple H hits Orton with a steel chair, and follows up with a pedigree for the pinfall.

One Night Stand

2008-06-01, San Diego Sports Arena, San Diego, California, USA

  1. Falls count anywhere:
    Jeff Hardy def. Umaga
    The match spills outside the building into the parking lot. Hardy rams Umaga into a parked truck and climbs to the top. Hardy hits a Swanton bomb from the top of the truck, getting the pinfall.
  2. Singapore cane match:
    Big Show def. John Morrison (WWE tagteam champion), Tommy Dreamer, Chavo Guerrero, CM Punk
    There are four canes suspended around the ring. Everyone but Big Show fetches one, and collectively force Big Show to the outside using them. Back in the ring, Show finds another set of canes, chasing away his competitors. Show chokeslams Dreamer and hits him with a cane to get the pinfall, earling a match for the ECW championship at Night of Champions.
  3. First blood match:
    John Cena def. JBL
    JBL locks Cena in the ringrope and brings a bull whip. Cena manages to get loose, locking the JBL in the STF using a steel chain. Cena draws blood from JBL, to win the match.
  4. "I Quit" match:
    Beth Phoenix def. Melina
    Phoenix hits the Glam Slam on Melina before locking her in a submission hold, forcing Melina to say "I Quit".
  5. Stretcher match:
    Batista def. Shawn Michaels
    Batista hits the Batista bomb on Michaels onto the steel steps. Batista then puts Michaels on the stretcher and rolls him over the finish line to win the match.
  6. WWE championship, Last man standing match:
    Triple H (ch) def. Randy Orton
    Orton goes for the RKO, but Triple H manages to push him over the top rope, where Orton crashes into the steel steps. Triple H hits Orton with a sledgehammer, winning the match as Orton is unable to answer the ten count.
  7. World heavyweight championship, Tables, ladders and chairs match:
    Edge def. Undertaker (ch)
    Stipulation: Undertaker must retire if he loses the match. Edge's goons Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder run in, but are taken out by Undertaker and thrown through tables set up outside the ring. Undertaker throws Edge through two tables set up in the ring using the Last Ride, and climbs the ladder when he is stopped by the other members of La Familia (Bam Neely and Chavo Guerrero). Undertaker is thrown out, allowing Edge to climb the ladder to grab the championship helt, winning the match.

Night of Champions 2008

2008-06-29, American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas, USA

  1. WWE tagteam championship:
    John Morrison & The Miz (ch) def. Finlay & Hornswoggle
    Finlay hits the Celtic Cross on Morrison, setting up Hornswoggle for the Tadpool splash. Morrison throws Hornswoggle of the top turnbuckle, getting the pinfall to retain the championship.
  2. US championship:
    Matt Hardy (ch) def. Chavo Guerrero [w/Bam Neely]
    Guerrero hits two back suplexes, going for Three Amigos, but Hardy breaks the third attempt and hits the Twist of Fate to get the pinfall victory.
  3. ECW championship, Triple threat match:
    Mark Henry def. Kane (ch), Big Show
    Big Show goes for the top rope, but Kane picks him up for a suplex. Kane, still down after delivering the suplex, receives a splash from Henry, who gets the pinfall to become the new champion.
  4. World tagteam championship, 2-on-1 handicap match:
    Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes (ch) def. Hardcore Holly (ch)
    The match was announced as between Holly & Rhodes as champions and Ted DiBiase and his mystery partner. Cody Rhodes delivers a DDT to Holly, and is revealed as the mystery partner. DiBiase applies the Million Dollar Dream on Holly, getting the pinfall victory.
  5. Intercontinental championship:
    Kofi Kingston def. Chris Jericho (ch) [w/Lance Cade]
    Jericho hits the Lionsault on Kingston, putting him in the Walls of Jericho. Shawn Michaels comes ringisde, taking out Lance Cade. Kingston uses the distraction to hit the Trouble in Paradise on Jericho, getting the pinfall victory.
  6. Women's championship:
    Mickie James (ch) def. Katie Lea Burchill [w/Paul Burchill]
    James hits the Mick-DT, to get the pinfall.
  7. World heavyweight championship:
    Edge (ch) def. Batista
    Batista htis the Batista bomb, when Vickie Guerrero drags the refree out of the ring at the count of two. Edge is unable to capitalize on the distraction. The referee is knocked out and Edge knocks out Batista using the championship belt. Chavo Guerrero comes in as the new referee, counting the pinfall for Edge.
  8. WWE championship:
    Triple H (ch) def. John Cena
    Cena locks Triple H in the STFU. Triple H manages to break free and Cena tries to reapply the hold. but Triple H manages to lock Cena in a STFU of his own instead. Cena breaks out and tries for the FU, but Triple H instead hits a pedigree for the pinfall.

The Great American Bash

  1. WWE tagteam championship, Fatal four-way:
    Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder def. Jesse & Festus, John Morrison & The Miz (ch), Finlay & Hornswoggle
    Festus takes out Miz and Morrison and tags in Jesse to hit the Rocket Launcher on Ryder. Hawkins manages to drag Festus out of the ring, allowin Ryder to drop Jesse from the top rope and getting the pinfall.
  2. US championship:
    Shelton Benjamin def. Matt Hardy (ch)
    Hardy goes for a moonsault, but Benjamin gets a knee up, blocking Hardy. Benjamin hits the Paydirt to get the pinfall victory.
  3. ECW championship:
    Mark Henry (ch) [w/Tony Atlas] def. Tommy Dreamer [w/Colin Delaney]
    Dreamer hits a DDT on Henry, but Hentry kicks out at two. With Henry down, Dreamer goes for the turnbuckle, but Delaney grabs his arm, plunging him into the top rope, allowing Hentry go hit the World's strongest slam for the pinfall.
  4. Chris Jericho def. Shawn Michaels (referee stoppage)
    Michaels hits elbow drop from the top rope and goes for the Sweet Chin Music, only to be distracted by Lance Cade who comes running in. Michaels jumps Jericho from the ring ropes out to the floor, re-injuring his eye. Jericho keeps punching Michael's face, which is bleeding profusely, forcing the referee to stop the match. Jericho is awarded the victory.
  5. Divas championship:
    Michelle McCool def. Natalya (subm.)
    The match was set up to crown the inaugural Divas champion, with the two competitors having won prior qualification matches. Natalya goes for the sharpshooter, but McCool reverses it into a heel-hook, getting the submission victory.
  6. World heavyweight championship:
    CM Punk (ch) vs. Batista (2xDQ)
    Batista hits a spinebuster on Punk onto the floor outside the ring. Batista throws Punk back into the ring, but is attacked by Kane as he tries to climb back into the ring himself. The referee calls for the bell, but Kane enters the ring and chokeslams Punk anyway. The referee rules the match a double disqualification.
  7. New York City parking lot brawl:
    John "Bradshaw" Layfield def. John Cena
    The match took place in a parking garage, with the ring area marked by a circle of parked cars. Cena throws JBL into a car, and forklifts it into the arena. Cena picks up JBL, setting him up for a FU through the car, but JBL kicks loose, throwing Cena into the card windshield. JBL covers Cena onto the windshield for the pinfall.

    Triple H (ch) def. Edge
    Alicia Fox runs down to the ring, grabbing the WWE championship belt and handing it to Edge. Vickie Guerrero comes out, knocking out Fox and grabbing the belt herself. Guerrero enters the ring with the belt, but is taken out by Fox. As the referee tries to separate the two, Edge accidentally spears Guerrero instead of Edge, allwoing Triple H to use the confusion to hit the pedigree, getting the pinfall to retain the championship.

  1. John "Bradshaw" Layfield & Kane & Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. Batista & John Cena & Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard & JTG)
    Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase were World tagteam champions at the time. Cena goes for the FU on JBL, but is denied Kane. Batista spears Kane and clears the ring, allowing Cena to launch JTG from the top rope onto DiBiase. DiBiase is not the legal man, so the referee doesn't count the pin. JBL hits the clothesline from hell on JTG, getting the pinfall.
  2. The Great Khali [w/Ranjin Singh] def. Jimmy Wang Yang
    Khali hits three chokeslams on Yang, before casually getting a three-count with one foot on Yang's chest.
  3. Edge def. Jeff Hardy
    The referee is busy counting Edge who is out of the ring, when MVP comes running by the ring delivering a kick to the head of Hardy. Edge comes back into the ring, hitting a spear to get the pinfall victory.

Summerslam 2008

  1. M.V.P. def. Jeff Hardy
    Hardy hits the Whisper in the Wind and goes for a Swanton bomb, when Shelton Benjamin appears. Hardy jumps Benjamin, but this gives MVP enough time to roll out of Hardy's Swanton bomb. MVP hits a drive-by kick to get the pinfall victory.
  2. "Winners take all" mixed tag team match:
    Glamarella (Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix) def. Kofi Kingston (Intercontinental champion) & Mickie James (Women's champion)
    The match was for both titles, with the winning team winning both titles. James covers Phoenix, but is stopped by Marella. Kingston makes a run for Marella, but Marella lowers the ropes, throwing Kingston of the ring. James hits a jumping DDT on Marella, but is caught in Phoenix' Glam Slam. Phoenix gets the pinfall on James, to win the champions for her team.
  3. ECW championship:
    Matt Hardy def. Mark Henry (ch) [w/Tony Atlas] (DQ)
    Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Henry, but Atlas breaks the pinfall attempt and attacks Hardy, getting Henry disqualified.
  4. Heavyweight championship:
    CM Punk (ch) def. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
    JBL slams Punk from the ring ropes, but only gets a two-count. JBL goes for the clothesline from hell, but Punk counters into a Go to Sleep, getting the pinfall victory to retain the championship.
  5. WWE championship:
    Triple H (ch) def. The Great Khali
    Khali tries to get a submission victory by squeezing the head of Triple H, but Triple H manages to get loose and hit the pedigree for the pinfall victory.
  6. Batista def. John Cena
    After trading near-falls, Cena jumps off the top turnbuckle, but is caught by Batista who hits a Batista Bomb on Cena. Batista hits another Batista Bomb to get the pinfall victory.
  7. Hell in a cell:
    Undertaker def. Edge
    The match spills out of the ring when Undertaker rams Edge into the side wall, which gives out. Undertaker rams Edge into the steel walls surrounding the ring. Edge hits Undertaker with a television camera, but only gets a two-count. Undertaker chokeslams Edge from the top turnbuckle through a table set up outside the ring and then hits the tombstone piledriver to get the pinfall victory.

Unforgiven 2008

  1. Championship scramble, ECW championship:
    Matt Hardy def. Mark Henry (ch), The Miz, Chavo Guerrero, Finlay
    Miz and Hardy started out, with Guerrero entering five minutes later. Chavo pinned Hardy to become the first interim champion, only to be pinned himself by Hardy a bit later. Mark Henry entered after ten minutes, and pinned Guerrero after having been attacked by all the other three men. Finlay entered after fifteen minutes, and while Henry was distracted by Hornswoggle, he attacked Hardy with his shillelagh and Celtic Cross for a pinfall. Hardy performed the Twist of fate on The Miz, getting the final pinfall and retaining the title until the time limit.
  2. World tagteam championship:
    Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase (ch) def. Cryme Tyme
    Cody Rhodes pinned JTG to retain the titles.
  3. Unsanctioned match:
    Shawn Michaels def. Chris Jericho
    In this no-disqualification, no-countout match, both men used various weapons attacking each other. Lance Cade came to Jericho's aid, but both Jericho and Cade received an elbow drop onto the announcer's table. The referee awarded the match to Michaels as Jericho could not defend himself.
  4. Championship scramble, WWE championship:
    Triple H (ch) def. Jeff Hardy, The Brian Kendrick, Shelton Benjamin, MVP
    Hardy and Benjamin started out, with Kendrick entering five minutes later. Hardy quickly pinned Kendrick to become the first interim champion, but was himself pinned by Kendrick a bit later. MVP entered the match after five minutes and Triple H after ten. Triple H pinned Kendrick after a pedigree, after which Hardy pinned Kendrick. Triple H performed another pedigree on Kendrick, again pinning him, but shortly after Hardy also pinned Kendrick. Triple H eventually pinned MVP with one second left, and left the match with the title belt.
  5. Divas championship:
    Michelle McCool (ch) def. Maryse
    McCool pinned Maryse after the Wings of Love.
  6. Championship scramble, World heavyweight championship:
    Chris Jericho def. John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Kane
    Batista and JBL started out, with Kane entering after five minutes. Kane chokeslammed JBL to become the first interim champion. After ten minutes, Mysterio entered the match and after fifteen, Chris Jericho entered, replacing champion CM Punk, who had been attacked earlier in the night. Batista pinned Kane to become interim champion, and was the only man still standing as Jericho returned to the ring and covered Kane for a pinfall. He held on to the title until the time limit, becoming the new champion.

    Hardy countered Henry's World's Strongest Slam into a Twist of Fate, to get a pinfall victory.

    Beth Phoenix (ch) [w/Santino Marella] def. Candice Michelle
    Marella pulled Phoenix out of the ring as Michelle tried to pin her, but was himself knocked out by Michelle. Phoenix did, however, take advantage of the situation to take control of the match. Phoenix eventually won by pinning Michelle after a Glam Slam.
  3. Rey Mysterio def. Kane (DQ)
    Stipulation: if Mysterio loses, he removes his mask. Kane was disqualified when he hit Mysterio with a chair during when Mysterio tried to perform a dive to outside the ring.
  4. #1 contender for the heavyweight championship:
    Batista def. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
    Pinfall after the Batista Bomb.
  5. Big Show def. Undertaker (knockout)
    Big Show won by knockout when Undertaker was unable to answer a ten-count after receiving several punches to the head.
  6. WWE championship:
    Triple H (ch) def. Jeff Hardy
    Triple H retained his title, pinning Hardy after a Swanton Bomb.
  7. Ladder match, World heavyweight championship:
    Chris Jericho (ch) def. Shawn Michaels
    Michaels was very close to climbing the ladder to claim the title, but was denied, allowing Jericho to knock him out and claiming it himself.

    Rey Mysterio def. Kane
    No holds barred stipulations were voted with 39% over Falls count anywhere (35%) and Two out of three falls (26%). Rey Mysterio overpowered Kane using a steel chair, before using his 619 and springboard splash to end the match.
  2. ECW championship:
    Matt Hardy (ch) def. Evan Bourne
    Bourne was selected as Hardy's opponent with 69%, over Finlay (25%) and Mark Henry (6%). Bourne missed his Air Bourne, allowing Hardy to apply the Twist of fate to win by pinfall.
  3. John Morrison & The Miz def. Cryme Tyme
    The match was chosen with 38% over a world tagteam championship match with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase (ch) vs. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston (35%) and an inter-gender with William Regal and Layla meeting Jamie Noble and Mickie James (27%). Miz kicked Shad's knee behind the referee's back, allowing Morrison to pin Shad after a Moonlight Drive.
  4. Intercontinental championship:
    Honky Tonk Man def. Santino Marella (ch) [w/Beth Phoenix]
    Honky Tonk Man was chosen as Marella's opponent with 35%, over Roddy Piper (34%) and Goldust (31%). Beth Phoenix interfered, tripping Honky Tonk Man and thus disqualifying Marella. After the match, Marella was attacked by Piper and Goldust.
  5. Last man standing match:
    Undertaker def. Big Show
    Last man standing stipulations were voted with 49% over "I quit" match (42%) and Knockout match (9%). Undertaker won the match after locking Big Show in the Hell's Gate.
  6. WWE championship:
    Triple H (ch) def. Jeff Hardy
    Hardy was chosen as Triple H's opponent with 57% over Vladimir Kozlov (5%) and a triple-threat match with all three (38%). Triple H won by pinfall after a pedigree.
  7. World heavyweight championship, Special guest referee: Steve Austin:
    Batista def. Chris Jericho (ch)
    Steve Austin was voted the guest referee with 74% over Randy Orton (4%) and Shawn Michaels (22%). After interference from both Shawn Michaels and John "Bradshaw" Layfield, the match eventually ended with Batista pinning Jericho after a Batista Bomb, to win the title.
