Embarrassing typo in the Swedish translation of Opera 8

Published: 2005-06-24 13:06:13

I just spotted an embarrassing typo in the Swedish translation of Opera. I try to run through everything in the UI for each new release, to try finding any typos, but some of the slip through. This one was especially tricky, since it only shows up under very special circumstances: There is a typo in the string which is displayed when a new version is available, a feature added in Opera 8.00. For this message to display, a new version needs to be available in the same language, so the first time ever I saw this message was after Swedish version 8.01 was published, and since it then was too late to change it, both 8.00 and 8.01 contain the embarrassing typo.

I have fixed it for the version that is to come after 8.01, but until then I guess all you can do is laugh at me when the dialogue shows up with the bad message, and I will try to make sure I proofread the translation better in the future.

Sorry.
