Pictures of my Commodore C128 number 4354628

Refurbished Commodore have a shop in Stavanger here in Norway, where he repair and sell of Commodore computers (and donate parts of the proceeds to the Nowegian Childhood Cancer Society). Just before summer holiday times in 2026, a refurbished Commodore 128 with Swedish keyboard, showed up, which I tried for quite some time to avoid buying. But then it was still there after the summery holidays; Commodore 128s are not that common, especially not with a Swedish keyboard in Norway, so I did buy it.

The upper machine in this picture is the refurbished machine, the lower one is my old one:
[Comparison photo, the refurbished machine is noticably lighter and cleaner]

Also the inside was neatly renovated, the motherboard was cleaned and the ICs had received new thermal paste to work better with the heat shield:

But to be able to fit the SuperMMU for my SuperCPU that previously was mounted in my now scrapped C128 DCR, and with the 64K expansion for the VDC I had bought, I have unmounted the heat shield. At the same time I took the opportunity to remove the heat paste, but to mount some heatsinks on some of the chips:

Everything seems to be working just fine together:
