Pictures of my Commodore 16 number 47619

I bought these two Commodore 16s on eBay from a seller in Denmark during September 2003. I believe I tested them briefly when I got them, before putting them away in storage, but when I took them back out in September 2025, I only found one of them to be working.

Commodore 16 number 47699

This device powers on fine, but when I connect a Datasette to it, it goes all weird. I need to retest that, though, after changing power supplies. I installed a Fixteen also in this one, but it didn't work originally because one of the RAM chips that PCBWay had sourced for me was broken. I another chip off eBay, and now this unit also has 64 kilobyte RAM.

It has become my daily driver Commodore 16, so I have now also installed JiffyDOS in it. Since I also wanted to be able to use JiffyDOS in an emulator, I wrote a simple program for dumping the ROM to file (in assembly, which is a lot faster than the one I wrote to dump the drive ROM).
