When working with the swedish messages for the man package i found the following: The gencat that is distributed with glibc-2.1.2 sets all messages in the generated catalog to " ". This is because the format of the file generated by makemsg -c has two spaces between the number and message instead of one. The following trivial patch makes makemsg generate files that glibc-2.1.x gencat can do something meaningful with. This undocumented behaviour from gencat doesn't seem to be compliant to the X/Open standard so it should be fixed but the problem is displayed in both RedHat 6.0 and 6.1 which has a fairly large userbase, so if you could update your package I think many users will thank you. cheers! /daniel -- We can't prove that God exists.
