I've heard that some of the chips in these beaties tend to die off, so
I thought I'd keep an extra around, so that in case of failures, I can
use one of them for spare parts. Both of them seemed to work just fine
now, though.

Hmmm, I thought more of expanding it to a full 64 KB RAM (or whatever
is possible), not one of those fancy mega-expansions that there's no
chance whatsoever of any software ever supporting. It would be very
nice to be able to use it to run full Plus/4 programs (I don't know to
what extent that is possible otherwise).
Especially since it's soon time to test this year's minigames :)
