Undoubtedly because the cost of the necessary parts in
small quantities will be quite high.

Besides, rather than just emulating a C-64, new
devices should provide advanced features. In that
regard I truly believe that Jeri Ellsworth is getting
it done right. Her C-64 on a chip will provide PLENTY
of advanced features for us to play with  :)

If all you want to do is keep playing the same old
games then your original C-64's are good enough for
you. For myself, I am dreaming MUCH bigger things  ;)
