What is worse is that I have a faint memory about Erik failing to renew the 
domain previously as well. He might have an ISP that is supposed to do it 
for him, but for some reason don't.

Hopefully it can be resolved. Isn't there like one month of quarantine 
before someone else can register an expired domain name?
