Hi Rob,
thank you very much for the pics, thats exactly what I needed to see.
I have the original PSU, but not the original stand-offs.
I have some lengthening screws, these are 5,5cm.
Maybe these are too long, and the PSU gets too close to the PCB.
Can you tell how much room is left between the PSU and the PCB ?

The mains filter... yes, it's the metal cylinder on the back plane.
It failed with a bang, throwing out some electrolyte. And, of course, 
blowing a 16A fuse.
