You might be surprised. I'm always amazed when I hear of 80's programmers who reveal in interviews that the source code from some 'classic' game has been long lost... I think the problem is that for people that were working on this stuff, at the time it was just another design, part of their normal job, and the significance was lost on them. I mean, who would realistically have imagined back then that we'd be discussing the C64 on a mailing list almost 30 years later!?!
