Luxury problem of the day
Published: Thursday 2011-06-09.
One of the things I have dreaded the most when moving from Vålerenga to Helsfyr is to have to bike over Grenseveien to get to and from the office. Grenseveien is a very busy, steep and fairly narrow road, and is the, so far, only place where I as a biker has been harassed by a car driver (I have your plate number) for having biked following all possible rules and regulations.
But yet again Google Maps came to my rescue. It looks like they recently have added walkways and bicycle paths to their mapping service, because when I searched yesterday I found an alternative route over Tøyen train station that means I can avoid the Grenseveien hill. Hurrah!
