I just updated my Mac to OS X 10.6.6 with Mac App Store. As I suspected it is mostly crap in there, at least I was unable to found a single one of the applications I have installed on my box. Neither Parallels, Opera, Firefox, Gimp, OpenOffice, VLC MacPorts, nor Google Earth was there. Many of the programs are free (Parallels is a paid application), but still common enough that they should have been there. When you have got used to automatic updating of applications under Linux it would have been nice to get the same thing in Mac OS.
Hopefully the situation will improve soon.
