Opera 11 out now
Published: Thursday 2010-12-16.
I have not been blogging about new Opera versions for some time (except for the Android version), but now a new major version is coming out, so it is time again. In addition, one of the big news in this version is a feature that I have taken part in the development of, that is extension support (also known as add-ons). Yes, we are last of the big web browsers to get extension support, but considering that several of the top extensions for Firefox are features already built-in to Opera it has not been as important.
Among other new features are stacking of tabs, visualisation of mouse gestures and a changed address field. The latter is a bit annoying for those of us who know what we are doing, but it is fortunately possible to disable if one wants to.
Get it from the usual place.
