Norwegian Unified Messaging Systems send spam about telefax services

I previously wrote about Unified Messaging Systems AS, UMS, a Norwegian company dealing in marketing over telefax, and who have forced several companies to turn off their telefax machines just because of the amount of junk faxes they send out. I guess it was just a matter of time before they started with sending out junk mail (spam).

I got the spam below in my e-mail box today. It does not directly refer to Unified Messaging Services, but it can be traced back to them. It was sent via a Romanian spamming service, admailers.net, and refers to a service under the name faxineurope.com. No other contact information is given, but if you look up the whois post for the domain, you can find the following information:

Owner of the phone number 23501600.

The address and telephone number leads to this Unified Messaging Services (and the phone number is apparently shared with two other companies). It is thus quite clear that it is Unified Messaging Services that is behind the spam, something which is illegal in both Sweden (which was the target of the spam since it was written in Swedish), Norway (where I live and the company operates) as well as most other countries in Europe.

Jag har fått hela 2009 faxsignal sickat till mitt hemligt o privat tel.nr med faxreklam löpande från företag. Tillsist kopplade jag min kontorsfax från hemmakontoret och lyckades spåra några, som lovade att sluta faxa mera. Till min skräckelse upptäckte jag att nummerupplysning på WWW.118100.se hade mitt gamla faxnr kvar registerad som kontorsfaxnr fastän sedan 8 år tillbaka nr har varit privat och hemligt o vi har bytt teloperatör 2 gånger sedan dess. Jag har ring till Faxineurope på 031-760 1940 och de har tagit bort uppgiften. Man kan också använda internet på WWW.faxremovals.com. Nummerupplyssning på WWW118100.se hade även tel.nr 031-7601940 registerad kvar på Frambaf i Gtb men INTE på Faxineurope. Vi får se hur länga jag måste har faxen kvar på privatnr för att se vilka andra har köpt reklamfax o spamtjänster från Faxineurope eller andra.
