The Internet is global, allowing the information to flow freely across borders? No, not quite. The international olympic committee has decided that moving pictures from the games, they can only be viewed from within the borders of the nation where the medium belongs. So, no matter if it is at Swedish National Television or Aftonbladet I try to watch a short clipping from Ara Abrahamian’s protest yesterday against corrupt judges (which I, unlike some think that he has all rights to do publically), I am not allowed to see anything, being here in Norway.
I guess that I will have to put up a proxy on one of the machines in Sweden where I have an account if I am to watch them. The alternative is to watch it on TV, the cable TV companies here are allowed to redistribute Swedish TV, no matter what the international olympic committee have say about it.
