They can be a bit weird about that, the Norwegians. Talk about big brother complex (again, but it is nice that they have some team sports that they can beat us at, sometimes). But, that has to be said, the winner will get a place in the world championships as well, so winning the match is worth something.
I doubt, however, that there will be any country in-fighting when we have both my mother (Swedish) and my (soon-to-be) in-laws (Norwegian) for dinner ☺
