Camcorder

We have bought ourselves a camcorder. One of those advanced thingies with HDTV support in widescreen and all sorts of stuff. It is going to be interesting to play with it a bit more, and see how good the video editing software that came with the Mac is (I played around with it a bit with a small clip I took with my regular camera, but I haven’t tested it with the camcorder yet since I need another cable, the 4-4 firewire cable that fits the TV and the PVR doesn’t fit the Mac, it needs a 4-6 cable. And the USB cable that came with it can apparently only be used to transfer photographs.

By the way, does anyone know of any good software for editing video on Linux?

I MS Windows - jag vet att du inte frågade om det - har jag använt gratisprogrammet VirtualDub med viss framgång. Det går åtminstone under GPL.
