And thus finally have Apple opened for allowing you actually buying music in their Itunes music shop, and not only license it for playing in Apple’s software and music players. Since I do not own an Apple music player, but instead listens to music in my mobile phone and computer (Thea has a music player, but from Creative), I want to be able to choose how and when I listen to the music I buy, just like when I buy it on CD. It is partly due to that, and partly due to Coca Cola running a campaign this summer where you can exchange a code printed on the bottle towards a song on Itunes, that I thus finally has set up an account with Itunes, after having had a Mac with Apple’s Itunes pre-installed for close to a year. Unfortunately the “record label mafia” is trying to make their lives difficult, making it more and more difficult to buy from them.

Thus far it just covers music from EMI, who earlier have been very keen on making their customers’s lives more difficult, that Apple can sell freed music from, which is too bad when I want to buy music from artists on other record labels. Previously I have done some shopping from the Russian AllOfMp3, which I still think is very nice, they have really understood how to give the customers what they want.

Now if they only could add a setting so that it is possible to filter out the locked-in licensed music (and not just open for the buy-music) in the program, so that you can avoid paying for the wrong product by mistake, that would be very nice. I tried asking customer service about it, but they didn’t quite understand me.
