WolfBlog

Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Opera 9.20 and other news

Published: Wednesday 2007-04-11.

Opera 9.20 was released today. New in this version is among other things Speed Dial, which let you access your favourite web sites through thumbnail images in new tabs and through simple keyboard combinations (Ctrl + digit).

In other news I have finally ordered a new computer to replace the the broken one. Since this one comes with a 64 bit Athlon CPU, this means that I for the first time since late last century will do a clean installation of my main desktop system, previously I have updated by moving hard disks or copying files over from the previous machine. It should be interesting to try out 64-bit Linux.

In addition I have been given an old discarded 450 MHz machine (thanks, big brother), so that I finally can replace my old 120 MHz Pentum that is running as router, et cetera, in my home netwrok. And last, but not least, I have received an old used laser printer, which is good to have when I no longer can find ink for my old printer.
