Now I have changed almost everything in the computer that has shown symptoms of being broken, video cards, hard disks and memory, but it is still acting up. Almost the only things left to change are power supply and fans, but it feels like it is time to say stop, declar the four and a half year old computer as scrap and start thinking about getting a new one.
My trusty old printer, which I have on an “extended loan” from my father ever since I moved out, seems also be ripe for exchanging for a new one. Not that it in any way is broken, it is just that Clas Ohlson, where I always have bought replacement ink cartridges, has stopped selling them. It was just a question of time when that would happen, the market for new ink for a printer from 1994 is perhaps not as large as it once was.
