Hearts, happiness and salary
Published: Thursday 2007-02-15.
Yesterday was Saint Valentines day. Since my girlfriend was working night shift we celebrated it on Tuesday instead, she had spent her day off on cooking, so I came home to a set table with candles and a romantic dinner. Can it be any better than that? After dinner we went to the cinema to watch The Pursuit of Happyness. Although the film only was inspired by a true story, and is a bit different from what really happened, the basic idea is based in reality and the film itself was very good.
The Pursuit of Happyness is about Chris Gardner, who manages to get from being homeless and single custodian of his son to a successful stock broker, embodying the American dream. Even if the film at times get a bit too American, it is definitely worth seeing.
Yesterday this year’s salary negotiations started at Opera, and as member of the board of the NITO group I am leading the negotiations for our group. We are not quite synchronised with the rest of the country, so we do not have many prognoses and such to go on, and even if we have been to a couple of courses held by the union I was quite nervous before the first meeting. I am looking forward to the rest of the process and seeing what we can agree upon in the end.
Now I am hoping that the snow will stay over the weekend, since I am planning on inaugurating the skis I got for my birthday from my girlfriend last year. The temperature is above zero outside now, so it doesn’t exactly look very promising, but perhaps the conditions are better where we are going…

Rättelse: låten heter "Jag älskar dej alla". Den kunde passa att önska på radio nästa år.

Karlavagnen i onsdags hade Alla hjärtans dag-tema.
