Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Happy Feet

Published: Tuesday 2006-12-19.

The cutest film this Christmas has to be Happy Feet which is fun both for children of all ages (in which I probably have to count myself as belonging to the older group). In addition I love computer animated films, even if I no longer have to see each and every computer animated film that is released, I do see quite a many compared to the number of traditional films I see.

Happy Feet is about the penguin Mumble who turn out not to be quite like the rest of the emperor penguins, since he knows how to step dance. Since he is so different he wanders of on his own journey where he teams up with some other misfit penguins, and together they decide to save the world. More or less.

Even if it shows that it primarily is a children’s movie, it contains several good messages that are worth repeating. I liked it, but as I said, I do love computer animated movies as if I was a child. If you do so too, you definitely should go and see this movie. I watched with English voices, I do not know how the dubbed versions are, but I guess they are more children friendly, the audience for the English version was mostly adult.
