Old product in new packaging
Published: Saturday 2006-10-07.
A couple of months ago Coca-Cola advertised big-time for a having switched the aspartame from their Coca-Cola light to a new sweetener, sucralose (which at least I find to taste better). This week they again have run a big advertising campaign for a new product, Coca-Cola Zero (which I believe has been available in other countries before), as a cooler alternative than Light.
I of course had to test, but was quite disappointed when I discovered what it was I had bought – it was a sugar-free Coca-Cola sweetened with aspartame. I.e, the same thing as the old Coca-Cola light. Points to Coca-Cola for being able to run two big advertising campaigns about new products and still pump out the same old thing…
