Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Pirates of the caribbean – dead man’s chest

Published: Thursday 2006-07-27.

We went to see Pirates of the caribbean – dead man’s chest yesterday night. The film can be summarised very quickly: a much too long, completely unnecessary film. The first one was okay, but the sequel was not very good. I would recommend watching another movie, personally I am looking forward to the new Superman movie that is premiering soon, and the new Spider-Man movie that is coming next summer.

This entry is referenced in: Pirates of the Carribean 3.

I quite agree. The movie would've been OK if it had been about half the length it was now.

The last hour, I actually contemplated leaving the theatre to go watch grass grow (or something with a similar interest factor).

I've seen and heard lots of comments about this movie, and there are two main categories: those who thought the first movie was MUCH better, but the second one was still good entertainment, and those who thought the first movie was MUCH better, and thought the second movie was a waste of time. Looks like this is one movie I'll wait to see on DVD on a dark and boring winter night :)

Yet it gets 7.4/10 on IMDb? Do people generally give too nice votes, so on a scale 0-10, 5 equals horrible, 7 equals mediocre, 8 is decent and 9 is quite good?

Looks like I need to dig out my IMDb login and password so that I can vote that down a bit, then...
