March of the penguins
Published: Monday 2006-02-13.
On Friday night we did something as unusual as to watch a documentary at the cinema, we watched the astonishingly beautiful movie March of the penguins, a beautiful narrative of how the emperor penguins survive in the severe cold of the south pole, and how they each year wander back and forth between the open sea and the thousand-year-old breeding grounds inland.
It is not that often documentaries are shown on cinemas everywhere. It is even more unusual that they stay in the cinema top lists for several weeks, but when you see this movie you can understand why this is an exception. It is extremely grandly filmed and well-made, and I recommend everyone who has ever seen a penguin to watch this movie.
