Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Food, food, and even more food

Published: Monday 2005-10-24.

Yesterday it was once again time for “long lunch” with Chaals and the other Opera people in the big flat that Opera rents. The invitation was a bit fuzzy about the time and said from noon to midnight, so we (me and my girlfriend) showed up at around three o’clock. That seemed to be a good choice since the cooking had just about started at that time, so we had the opportunity to try most of what was prepared.

Several very different dishes were prepared, from a quick and simple (and appreciated) baked Swedish falu-sausage that we prepared, to Eddy’s whole-day project that already was initiated when we arrived, but that didn’t get served until after ten o’clock in the night. From last time we had learned the trick of eating small portions, because then you can manage to try more dishes without your stomach exploding, even if it almost felt like it would at the end. The biggest hit was once again Joen’s chocolate cake, which was so popular he had to do another one…

Chaals has written a better summary of the day than I have the energy to do now, but nevertheless, it was very nice.
