As most of my readers know, or at least can suspect by now, I like professional wrestling. Fortunately for me, Norway has its own wrestling federation, who have small and slightly larger shows in and around Oslo at regular intervals.
Tonight’s show was Stormvarsel, a slightly smaller show held in the assembly hall of a school in Kjelsås in the northern corner of Oslo, and I was there. It is quite a different feeling to be sitting four or five metres from the ring corner compared to watching the wrestling on tv. Obviously, this cannot compare to the big federations in northern America, but what they lack in budget they make up with an ardent enthusiasm.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the highlight of the year, the Powerslam II show that takes place next month, so instead I will have to make do with watching the DVD recording of their last show, Heteslag, of which I bought a copy.
