It seems that there is a new version of MyDoom circulating at the moment, MyDoom.M. Of course it seems like my virus protection has broken down at the same time, when I run it manually it finds the viruses in the messages, but it doesn’t seem to work when run from procmail. Annoying, I have grown used to not having to see worms and viruses in my letterbox.

Speaking of junk in the letter box, there are currently more than 5700 letters in my junk letter box, the letters that were sorted out during my vacation. Fortunately I have had the opportunity to tune the filter for new variants during the summer for my personal account, so it has learned from its mistakes, but I fear that there is a risk that it will be worse when I get to work tomorrow, hopefully there will not be too many junk letters that got through all the filters I have there, but I haven’t touched the box for three weeks now, so there’s a risk it will be bad.
