On the importance of usability testing
Published: Monday 2004-06-28.
A colleague mentioned today that she had found my blog, but was unable to locate the link to my RSS channel. Apparently it is customary among people using “real” blogging systems (my code is a home-made hack) to have the channel link distinctly visible as a button.
So, there you are, here is my button. It is also available at the top of the page, to the left of the paragraph that already contained a link to the channel. (If the button doesn’t look like a button, you didn’t get the updated style sheet, if you press “Reload” you should receive it).
Also notice how the button changes its appearance when hovering the mouse pointer over it (only works in modern browsers, i.e not in Internet Explorer). Nice 1990s feeling, isn’t it?
