Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Train of no thought

Published: Friday 2004-06-11.

SJ has doene it again, put together a time table that makes it impossible to ride their trains. To take the trip from Frövi, the station that is closest to my parents’ house, to Oslo on a Sunday night, all I had to do earlier was to take one of their local trains down to Hallsberg and jump onboard the train from Stockholm there. But I cannot do that anymore, no siree, now the night train doesn’t stop at the main train junction in Hallsberg, which is why SJ’s automatic ticket booking system suggests a trip by train to Örebro, followed by a bus trip to Kristinehamn, where, according to it, I am supposed to sit for one and a half hours waiting for the train from Stockholm.

No, thank you. Then I’d rather take the bus all the way from Örebro.

And SJ are wondering why they are losing passengers.
