The sound of sound

After having switched disks, the computer still sounds like a small nuclear power plant, although a slightly smaller one than before. But the high frequency, head-ache inducing sounds are at least gone.
Now on to the big question: What do I do with a 120 Gbyte disk that emits too much noise to be used in my main computer? There isn’ really anything “wrong” with it, so I don’t think I could switch it under warranty (again), and it feels very wrong to throw it away...
