Ticket prices at SJ
Published: Sunday 2004-04-18.
“Right now” ticket a Saturday morning, Oslo–Stockholm: 341 Swedish kronor (about 37 €). “Right now” ticket Sunday evening (they next day), Stockholm–Oslo: 782 kronor (about 85 €)
Last time I took the westward trip it was all the way from Nynäshamn (which is an extra hour by the commuter train) last autumn, then priced at 622 kronor—I find it a bit unrealistic that the price has increased by 25 % in half a year, but according to SJ’s customer service it is the correct price. I think I’ll rather take the bus back, that is what you want people to do by pricing tickets that way, right SJ?
If I go Monday morning, that too during “rush hours”, the ticket Stockholm–Oslo costs only 493 kronor (53 €). Weird pricing system, this.
