Ring signal usury

Selling ring signals for mobile telephones using SMS services is extremely popular. However, the prices they set are simple usury, a polyphonic signal in MIDI format can cost as much as fifteen Swedish kronor (about 1.60 euro). I ordered a signal in conjunction with a record I bought today, even with the price (the song works nice as a ring signal). After ordering, I received a URL to my phone, from which I should retrieve the song using WAP (which means that in addition to the fifteen Swedish kronor, we add the price of sending the ordering text message, and the operator’s usury price for GPRS traffic.
Anyway, the nice thing with the download address was that it ended in a four-digit numeric id code. By increasing the id code with one I was able to retrieve another ring signal without paying, and so on. It worked nicely, I thought that fifteen kronor plus the text message, plus GPRS fee was worth four songs, so four songs it was.
If the ring signals had costed five kronor to download, I might have felt guilty about doing it.

Det jag undrar är hur många av dessa ringsignaler som en upphovsrättslig ersättning erläggs för. Det är nog ganska vanligt att den som knåpat ihop själva filen får betalt, men om det är en "cover" av ett annat stycke ska förstås upphovsmannen (och/eller musikförlaget/skivbolaget om det är ett inspelat och tidigare utgivet ljud) ha betalt också.
Nu tror jag säkert att det gick rätt till i det här fallet eftersom signalen beställdes ihop med en skiva.

Jo, jag tvivlar att det erläggs särskilt mycket avgift för allmänna låtar på sådana här tjänster...

Påminner mig om när Intentia lade ut sin rapport på nätet och när en journalist hittade den så försökte de stämma journalisten. De hävdade att de genom att använda ett svårt filnamn gjort filen hemlig...he he...läs om eländet på http://www.casselbrant.net/intentia.html. Jag kunde naturligtvis inte låta bli att ondgöra mig över ärendet.
