Telephone
Published: Wednesday 2004-03-10.
Yesterday I finally received the adapter that makes it possible to call over my broadband connection. In one end of the tiny box you connect a network cable, and in the other a standard analogue telephone, after which everything works as usual. I cannot complain about the sound quality, more than that I noticed some distortions when I was downloading files in the background, but that is expected.
Now I’m just waiting for them to send me an invoice for the starting fee so that I can use the phone for outbound calls as well, the only numbers I can call at the moment are gratis numbers, and I was unable to find any fun automatic customer service numbers to play around with, the only thing I have “called” is the built-in configuration menu that you reach by dialling ****.
