Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Life support

Published: Saturday 2003-11-22.

I have made it a project to resurrect old pages that I have earlier removed. Since I have (almost) all of my web site in CVS it is easy for me to get old versions of the pages, without having to consult resources like the WayBack Machine (which I strongly recommend).

Today’s resurrection attempt is the page for my old BBS “Quinta Essentia”. The BBS disappeared when I moved from Västerås (even though I still read Fidonet), and then I also took the page down. I have now resurrected it, and while at it I also put up a demonstration of the web interface I wrote back then, since the system is still running on my old OS/2 machine, three years later. The message databases are outdated, but that just fits nicely with it being supposed to look like it did back then. It is only possible to list one message area and show one message in the demonstration.
