Reflections from a Swede in Norway.

Here you will find my small graffiti board where I write about things I come to think about.

In my blog, I write about the general unfairness of life, about spam mail, vintage computers, board games, Norwegians, current and not-so-current affairs, technology and whatever else occurs to me — in other words, a glorious mess. All opinion expressed here are of course my own, and all similarities with any living people is of course intentional.

Do you know who I am?

Published: Friday 2003-10-17.

According to this page I correspond to captain Jean-Luc Picard of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The motivation is as follows: An accomplished diplomat who can virtually do no wrong, you sometimes know it is best to rely on the council of others while holding the reins. That sounds nice!

Referring to yesterday’s note about mobile telephony I hereby issue a warning about using GPRS while roaming, it can hurt quite a lot on the next bill ☹

By the way, I am quite a bit annoyed at SJ’s Internet ticket ordering system, which most of the time is working really poorly. Nevertheless, yesterday I managed to, for the first time ever, book tickets using a debit card over the Internet. It must be on something like the fifth attempt (and it took several tries to get something else than the page that says that I should call them and order the ticket). Let’s see if the tickets show up... [Addition: Yes, they did]

(By the way, if the picture on the left hand side overlaps the text below, it is because your web browser is buggy; the page shows correctly in both Opera and Mozilla).

Kör så det ryker kommendör Picard (Warp speed deliverd by OS/2, NOT Star Trek)

Det fungerar dock by default i Firebird.

Hej Lillebror. Jag blev visst: Galadriel

Lillebror svarar: Sagan om ringen? Ick!
